Ta da!

Our herringbone floor is done. We nearly chickened out a couple of times, especially after the first two laying quotes. I'm so pleased that we persevered and got what we wanted.
Remember this photo below was our inspiration. I actually like our longer zigzag pattern more.

I just love it when a plan comes together! Now there are some more trims to do, before the floors are actually covered up again so we can paint the room.
The lights have been ordered. It's all systems a go-go.

  1. JAW ON THE FLOOR!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW. You've got balls. It is wonderful. Well done. I love it so much but know I don't have the confidence to do it for me. What did the tiler think of it??

  2. Laura, the tiler loved doing it, once he got his plan together. He was just as chuffed as us with the result.

  4. Looks absolutely like a million dollars MR. I can imagine it is difficult to put anything onto it at all. It is a work of art in itself. Congrats on a wonderful result x HH

  5. Hello Ive just been given two chairs and a table of the spun metal outdoor furniture. I would be so grateful if you could give me any tips for painting. They are a buttery cream colour, Will I just spray paint them. Also The table top is a nasty fibreglass, I'd like to change it to glass. Any tips about removal of the old top and securing of the glass? Thank you so much. Ive looked and looked and you seem to be the expert.
    Regards
    J
