Decisions, decisions

I'll be ordering my piece of bone inlay furniture soon, but I'm still not sure what colour. I am a most indecisive person. It is for this reason that I need you to vote now for your favourite colour.
Don't worry about where it's going, da, da, da. That's beside the point. It will move around a thousand times in its life with me.
I'm fairly certain I want this size chest of drawers. But in black?
Pink?

Green? I'm a green person, millions aren't.
This cobalt/navy blue is good.
Sensible ivory?
Or my beloved turquoise?

How can I choose?

  3. Arrghh it's like my KitchenAid decision all over again.

My vote is with the green. It's a beautiful bold colour, but one that you'll never tire of and it looks good with anything.

  4. Cobalt/Navy gets my vote. Divine.

  5. If it's that green you've posted then that is divine.

Back up would be the cobalt.

  6. Wow, nice decision to be making. Every one is lovely but green is the stand out for me.

  7. I'm a fan of black and white and would probably go with that. Although I am trying to jump out of the box and choose a bold coloured kitchenaid. Decisions, decisions.
    Good luck.

  10. My vote is definitely the black. The detailing looks more elegant and interesting and it will lend itself to any choice of (bright/neutral/soft/non) colour vignette on top.
But that's just my thoughts....good luck!

  11. I think Black is the sensible choice, because I agree with An Adelaide girl.

Black and White provides the most flexibility over time. I'd thought that you could for instance embrace your love of Green one month by gathering as many loved green objects on the top of piece. However I also like the thought that you could go a little neutral too and then whenever time and whim combine throw another vivid vignette together. That's my mentality when decision making on big items.

However if the green lifts you and makes you smile when you think of it. Go Green.

  13. Ooh it's a toughie. It depends what size/where your cupboard will go. You say beloved turquoise, so is that more a fave than green? I am a green fan too. However, I like the idea of the pink or turquoise in a room. Too neutral sometimes loses the power of contrast from the bone inlay for me.

  16. Definitely the black and white. We have a mirror in the b/w bone inlay and we have been able to move it around the house when necessary and it has always fitted in. We have very large colorful artwork and eclectic furniture collection throughout the home. I never tire of it and can always pair it with a wilder piece beneath.
Where are the images from on your blog? Check put Matt Blatt. They have th b/w for a great price.
    Best of luck!

  17. I love the green, but am leaning towards the black or the cobalt blue? It's not really the type of furniture you can have a lot of in your house...unless you live in an Indian palace, so you really want to get the colour right. I think less is more with this style.

  18. Green is AMAZING but the black is timeless and you will never tire of it and it goes with everything!! Heaven heaven, can't wait to see it in place. xx

  19. If you know you will be moving it around a lot, go for the black. I am such a green person though, I love the green!! (But I tend to be boring with my furniture and not move it - ever!)

  20. Green, green, green! The Green looks fabulous and would be an endless conversation piece! Deb

  21. Style plays an important role. I don't believe green in the style of the first photograph (square edges, black inlay) will give the same effect as the curvature of style as in the green inlay photograph. I'd suggust to consider style/colour as a duality and perhaps authentisism/origin? Is 'a' colour authentic of a particular style of a particular origin? Daniella
