  3. Oh My!! You are living my dream, I grew up at Petrie Terrace and Red Hill is one of my fav suburbs ever. I have just found your blog! The best ever I must say. Your home and its wonderful story is so so special. I just love the way you speak so beautifully about the lovely treasures you discovered whilst falling in love with your home. I feel so inspired by your blog. I think I just may have to find myself a queenslander to bring me back to my childhood Princess Street Petrie Terrace. I await further installments!!

  4. Hi, your house is looking lovely, you must be so excited. Can you please answer a quick question about your painting? Did you get the painter to seal each gap in the vj walls? I'm wondering if it's worth doing with mine, or if I should just paint it without gapping it. With 3.5 metre ceilings it's a huge job!

  5. Wow, just lovely! So what have you decided colour wise?

P.S To anonymous - please gap your VJ's, it looks so much better and is worth the effort. ;-)

  6. Hi, yes I would agree with Jenny. You definitely need to gap your vjs. A good paint job is all in the preparation, so if you're going to go to the time and expense of painting, do the full job. You could do some tests on your wall so you can see the end result for yourself with and without no-more-gapping.
